Guatemala

To date, Guatemala is my favorite country to visit. The trip to Lake Atitlan was a birthday celebration for my friends Georgia and Christelle. The trip was excellent from start to finish.

The fellowship- there was a natural ease amongst the travelers in the group: just vibes. Also, the conversations were deeply meaningful. I also laughed to the point of tears several times a day.

Phrases such as, “Fogedda-bout-it”, “21? Can you do summin fa me?” and “Ok, so story time”, will always have a special meaning to our group. Also, the Guatemalans we met were kind, patient, easy going, thoughtful and accommodating.

Food- all of our meals (except for 2) were prepared by our private chef Rosa. All the food she prepared was delightful and healthy and even our off site meals were memorable. I’m ever reminded that America is trying to slowly kill us with each meal. Ps the food was extremely cheap but of exceptional quality.

Location- we had a private airbnb home for our trip. It’s the most exotic airbnb I’ve stayed in to date. This airbnb is accessible only by boat. It was definitely giving riches and I would likely stay there again in the future.

Hiking- in short, Georgia tried to kill us at a wee hour of 2AM, but when we made it to the top, and saw the bright orange sun rise over the mountains, it was 100% worth it.

Massages- during my massage, I discovered solutions to all my problems, I was totally relaxed, I was able to conceptualize what it means to get all the good things I deserve in life and I felt any struggle or negativity leaving my body. I have never had between my toes or my ears massaged before and I’m not sure how to request that when I get back to the USA.

Spiritual reading- we hired a Mayan shaman to perform a fire ceremony. During this experience many vital things were revealed to me about my life. HMU, if you want the deets.

I left this retreat feeling connected and clear about the next steps I needed to take in my life. I hope this year is the best one yet for Georgia and Christelle.
